One of my favorite pastimes used to be going out to eat with my friends. I had heard about irritable bowel syndrome, or IBS, before I developed symptoms, but wasn’t really sure about the details of the problem. When I first started having digestion issues, such as stomach cramps and chronic diarrhea, I went to my doctor for some tests.
